Recruit people you like personally and respect professionally to help – our most successful shows have 2-4 co-producers. Dividing the work makes organizing more fun and ensures show sustainability.
2. Find a Venue
Brainstorm and ask friends for suggestions and connections. Potential venues include visual arts non-profits, university programs, corporate theater spaces, galleries, and community centers.
3. Select a Date
Set a date with the venue to give focus to the following steps and contact us to get access to Open Show’s online curating system.
4. Get the Word Out
Email a Call for Submissions with a link to the Open Show submission page and invite friends to join your city’s Facebook fan page. Ask people to share and retweet!
5. Curate & Launch
Select projects based on Open Show’s unique format and curating guideline. Prepare equipment, starter food/drink and presentation files at the venue.
